Always Catching Up

It seems like we have been busy the past couple of weeks.  First of all, I started experiencing stomach pains that just wouldn't go away.  Frank wanted to take me to the ER, but I was stubborn and went to my local doctor.  Well, guess what?  She wanted me to go to the ER too, after she ruled out a few things.  Since I wasn't running a fever, or throwing up, we decided to do a wait and see thing.  I ended up having a CT scan last Thursday, and I was supposed to get the results Friday.  Of course I didn't receive a phone call from the doctor's office.  I figure if it was something serious, they would have called.  I will more than likely hear from them tomorrow.  The doctor suspicions diverticulitis, or maybe a hernia.  I thought it was just a big gas pain, but the doctor said gas wouldn't last that long.

I am going to post some pictures and make comments as this shows what has been going on the past few weeks.

My Great Granddaughter
Merritt 21st Birthday

On January 28, we went to The Scoop to celebrate Merritt's and Frank's birthday.  While I was sitting there, I noticed some people who had just came in and sat across from us.  As I was looking at this darling baby I thought to myself  "I know that baby" then I looked over at the Mom and realized it was Jakell, Riley's wife.  I asked Merritt if I was right and he said yes.  Frank wanted to go over and ask if we could see the baby and take some pictures, but I was to nervous about the whole thing.  As we were leaving Jakell went over to the drink machine to get a refill and Bret asked her if I could see the baby, and Jakell said yes.  Thanks Bret!! I was elated to get to hold the baby, even though she could tell I was a stranger and got a little fussy.  She looks just like Riley.  I think Jakell told me her name is Tatum.  She is a doll.  Who knows if I will ever get to see her again. This is my estranged family, and I still don't know what I have done to them that is so bad to be shut out of their lives.   Which brings me to the next wonderful thing that happened to me.

Cortney and ShaRae
On New Years Day, I received a telephone call from my grandson Cortney.  We talked for a long time, but the most important message I received from him was that he wanted us back in his life.  He couldn't think of anything bad that we had done to him.  He had found this blog and thus the phone call.  I was in tears the whole conversation, tears of happiness.  To hear from him was such a wonderful New Years gift.  He said he was the Black Sheep of the family, and guess who reached out to me, yep the Black Sheep.  I love you Cortney and I hope you will keep in touch.

Rozlynn
Renee sent me this darling picture of Rozlynn in a bowl.  What a treat she is.  Today she is here asleep in my guest bedroom.  Renee is out here with her Mom to visit with family.  I was elated to get to see them.  When Rozlynn woke up, I had so much fun playing with her.  All I can say is that she is so dang cute!!!!

GOOD NEWS:  As of today Frank has lost 26lbs.  Good job baby, I am so proud of you!!!!

Birthday dinner with the family

My great grandson with Mom & Dad
We went over to Mesquite a few weeks ago for Frank's pain management appointment.  The office is right across the street from Robyn's subdivision.  We went over to visit Robyn and it was nice to see her and Braxton as it had been quite a while. I had fun playing with Braxton after he warmed up to me. Frank went out on the golf course in back of Robyn's home to hit a few balls and was pleased to be able to hit the ball without too much pain. He is going to play nine holes next Friday.  The picture above is the latest family pictures of the Hardy family.  They are such a beautiful family, and yes, even Eric.  I got to see Eric for a few minutes when I went to the Mesquite Hospital last Thursday for the CT scan.  I tried to get him to help me drink that awful chalk drink, but he declined....:)  Erick works at the hospital.
